STATEMENT OF FAITH

WE BELIEVE there is only one true, sovereign God who is eternal Creator, King and Redeemer of all that is. He is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each co-equal and co-eternal.

WE BELIEVE the Bible to be inspired, infallible and authoritative word of God, the standard by which we live out our life of faith.

WE BELIEVE mankind was created in the image of God to fellowship with Him, to enjoy Him, to adhere to His will. Sadly, through the fall of Adam and Eve, God's Person, Lordship and glorious Kingdom was willfully rejected, thus sin, sickness, judgment and death entered the world causing creation to experience the effects and consequences of sin.

WE BELIEVE Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, was crucified for our sins, died was buried, was resurrected and ascended into heaven where He now reigns at the right hand of the Father. He is truly God, and truly man. He was empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God's Kingdom on Earth.

WE BELIEVE we are saved by God's grace through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. There is no salvation given to anyone under heaven apart from a sincere faith in Christ, the perfect sacrifice for our sin. Through faith in Him, we are reconciled to God, becoming sons and daughters, heirs of His Kingdom.

WE BELIEVE the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit enables God's people to live a holy life and minster in the power attested to throughout Scripture. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers believers to be awesome witnesses in every sphere of life, declaring and demonstrating God's Kingdom.

WE BELIEVE through the redemptive work of Christ, a victorious life is available to all believers, no matter the circumstances of life. This means freedom from the power of the enemy and all the consequences of sin on Earth. As Jesus brought hope to hopeless, healing to the sick, freedom to the tormented, we are called to do the same. Heaven and Hell are real places, the eternal destiny of those redeemed; Hell the eternal destiny of those lost.

WE BELIEVE the Church consists of all who put their faith in Justus Christ. The Church exists to carry on the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, establishing His Kingdom into every realm of life by undoing and destroying the works of the devil. This involves bringing to those around us the good news of God's love, His willingness for them to know Him, to be baptized, to be taught and trained in His ways and to be sent forth as members of His Body to do His will. As members of His Body, we are to faithfully observe the ordinances of Baptism and Communion.
